Mrs. Clay
I graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa where I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I quickly moved to Texas to start my teaching career in Lamar CISD as a kindergarten teacher. I made my way to Alief ISD, where I taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade as well as specializing in reading instruction. In 2002, I began course-work at Stephen F.
Austin State University to earn my master’s degree in educational
leadership. In 2005, I began my administrative career in Fort Bend ISD as
an assistant principal at Sienna Crossing Elementary. As an assistant
principal I had the opportunity to learn many things and be a member of FBISD’s
first LEAD Principals’ Academy. After five years at Sienna Crossing, I
transferred to Commonwealth Elementary as assistant principal for a brief stint
before becoming the principal at Dulles Elementary for the last 3 ½
years.
I am a wife to a wonderful husband, André, and a mom to three
wonderful sons: Zach, Forrest, and Nolan. I enjoy reading, going to the
movies, and watching high school football!
